Master

Master Stack
KPA Master provides communication of an IPC system with EtherCAT network. The master uses a standard Ethernet controller, which is a significant cost saving factor in process control. KPA Master implemented as an EtherCAT specification based master using ANSI "C" and object-oriented design model.
Specifications
- Master-slave data exchange protocols via mail box communication (SDO transfer).
- Cable redundancy allows to detect cable break and continue operation with available segments.
- API provides access to Master for runtime or/and configuration tools.
Functions
- I/O data exchange
- Acyclic data exchange.
- Distributed clocks.
- Servers for multiple TCP/IP or/and UDP connections.
- CANopen over EtherCAT (CoE),
- File over EtherCAT (FoE),
- Ethernet over EtherCAT (EoE).
- Master and Slaves state control.
- Slave alternative addressing (alias).
- Slave-to-Slave communication on Master side.
- EtherCAT frames logger and scheduler.
- Events logging.
- Network diagnostic.
